Hill Beach is a bay beach that is a five-minute walk from your front door. This beach offers a lot of good walking, exploring and fishing off the jetty where the Saco River empties into the Atlantic.
You can see Old Orchard Beach fireworks on Thursday evenings during the summer from the beach too!
Looking for a change of venue? Just a 10 minute car ride or a 15-20 minute bike ride gets you to Biddeford Pool and Fortune Rocks beach. (Parking permits for ocean side beaches must be purchased at the lots).
About the area, Hills Beach Road is a 2-mile dead end street that initially brings you through the lovely campus of the University of New England before turning completely residential.
The street and area are nice for running, walking, and biking.
Lots of great restaurants in Biddeford including one in nearby Biddeford Pool Goldthwaite's/Pool Lobster where you will find a SPECTACULAR view of Wood Island Light house to enjoy while eating a meal or having an ice cream cone.
